Shower Facilities To_Top
The new shower block facility is up and running. In order to avoid queueing for showers, please consider others and limit shower time by making use of the benches for changing, rather than changing in the shower cubicles.
Rubbish Disposal To_Top
Additional skips have been arranged for rubbish this year. Please do the right thing and observe the national rules for recycling, general waste and glass waste.
Parking Information. To_Top
Please note the information below regarding parking and loading arrangements at the marina.
CCC has been asked to ensure that competitors do not leave vehicles parked in a way that may impede the emergency services. The organising committee will work closely with the local police and authorities to make sure that there are no restrictions to traffic movement. You should note specifically that the Fire Station is on Garvel Road on route to the Marina. Signs will be deployed to remind all drivers that access is required at all times and parking on Garvel Road beyond the marina entrance is for residents only.
All complaints about parking will be investigated by the organising committee and, if appropriate, a report made to the protest committee in accordance with SI 22.1
PLEASE PARK RESPONSIBLY
Loading Unloading. To_Top To allow competitors to unload luggage, stores, etc., there will be a monitored drop-off zone at the top of the bridge at the marina. In order to maintain the flow of traffic, vehicles shall not exceed the 8 minute maximum stopping time.
Off-Site Parking. To_Top Free parking is being provided opposite the Tarbert Holiday Park, beyond West Loch Shores, just a few miles outside the village. To get there from the marina, head south-west on Garvel road and turn left on to Barmore road/A83. Follow this road out of the village towards Campbeltown for ap-proximately two miles. The parking area is on your right hand side, opposite the motorhome park.
Transfers. To_Top For 2019 an "on demand" transfer service will be available for those parking outwith the Tarbert area. If you wish to take advantage of this you should make arrangements with the crane supervisor or Tarbert Harbour representative.
Trailer Parking. To_TopTrailer storage at Tarbert (for those boats making use of the crane to launch) is available at a reasonable cost. Details of this will be given to those who indicate that they will be using the crane via the online form. This is strictly for trailers (no boats) as there are power lines close by.
As with 2018, vessels will be predominantly berthed by class. The final berthing plan will be published on the THA and Scottish Series website prior to the event. Those with special requirements should contact Tarbert Harbour to ensure they can be acommodated. The marina will be at absolute capacity and THA appreciate your consideration and cooperation in following the guidance of staff during the event.
Please note that berthing for accommodation vessels is NOT included with vessel entry and should be arranged directly with Tarbert Harbour.
Crane Facilities To_Top
There will be a crane available at Tarbert – on Thursday between 1400 and 2000 and Monday between 1400 and 2000. If you wish to use this facility please indicate as such on your registration form. Launching will be on first come basis and the crane will depart once all who have booked have been launched or recovered.
IRC Certificates To_Top
Boats racing in an IRC Class shall submit an electronic copy of their IRC rating certificate, NoR 4.1. This can be completed via the online registration form or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Toilet Facilities Afloat To_Top
Competitors in the OD fleet (particularly those classes without suitable toilet facilities) may request use of the toilet facilities on the fleet Committee Ves-sels. Those wishing to do so should follow any instructions given by the CV Skipper. Any procedures may be advised to the OD fleet by VHF Radio or by Text message.
