Berthing Plan Tarbert
For 2019 we are delighted to introduce a new discounted berthing solution. Berthing is being provided by Tarbert Harbour Authority and Largs Marina.
In cooperation with Tarbert Harbour Authority berthing fees will be collected at the time of event entry. This means that entrants no longer have to book and pay for their berthing separately.
The berthing will cover Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at Tarbert and also Thursday night at Largs for the restricted sail fleet.
We hope you love this great addition to the 2019 event and if you have any queries please email us on email@example.com or review the Q and A's below.
Q: I have a permanent berth at Portavadie, do I have to pay for berthing at Tarbert at the time of booking?
A: Yes, but if you send the office proof of a summer or annual berth contract and proof of payment for the contract we will refund your berthing.
Q: I booked accommodation with berthing included at Portavadie before the inclusive berthing was announced, can I get an exemption?
A: Yes, but you must pay for berthing at the time of entry. Your berthing at Portavadie can be refunded on application after Scottish Series. You will need to prove you booked your accommodation before the 14th February 2019 and provide a copy of your berthing charges receipt to the office after the event. Your receipt will need to show the accommodation discount which is 50% for vessels over 7.5M and 100% for vessels below 7.5M.
Q: Are accommodation vessels included in the inclusive berthing?
A: No, only boats entered into at least one race are included in the berthing offer. Accommodation vessels should contact Tarbert Harbour directly to arrange berthing
Q: Can I request a specific berth?
A: No, unless there are secial circumstances in which case you should contact Tarbert Harbour directly who are responsible for allocation of berths. Berthing plans will be made available in advance of the event but will aim to place classes together as in 2018.
Q: Can I choose not to pay the inclusive berthing?
A: No, excepting the information above. We hope it's a welcome addition to the event and welcome feedback.
