Results on your Mobile Phone.
For many years the results of the Bell Lawrie Scottish Series have been available on the Internet.
The results are updated as the finishing times come into the results office from the committee boats.
The results team aim to have an early set of results available by the time the last boats are
coming into Tarbert. Obviously these are still subject to protest. As an improvement to that
system these results are now available to those who have web browsing capability on your mobile phone.
To access these results you will need a mobile phone with WAP capability. If your phone has
GPRS then there is a good chance you have this capability. This all assumes that you can get
a mobile phone signal in Tarbert!
To access the results simply direct your browser to http://www.clyde.org/results.wml and follow
the on screen instructions.

Hints and Tips:

|
Many of the pages are bigger than the size of your phone screen. You will need to scroll
down to get to see all the information.
If you want to come back to the same class or yacht results each day you can bookmark that page.
This saves you making the selection each time.
When selecting the sail number, you normally only need enter the numeric part of the number.
If two yachts have the same numeric part you’ll be offered a choice of which one you want. To
avoid having to make this selection in the future enter the sail number with prefix and/or suffix.
When you have entered the selection (class or sail number) you may need to look under the
"Options" selection to find the ‘Get Results’ command. (This varies depending on your phone).
The result data is typically updated 2 or 3 times as the finish times of a race come into the results
office. Results should be complete within a couple of hours of the race finishing. Changes because
of protests are usually made the following morning.
The result data is the same as you’ll get browsing the Internet from a PC.

The system is up and running now but with fictitious data, so you can get a feel for how the system
operates. (Note the bookmarks for these pages will change when the real results come on-line so any
you save now will not work when the live data is posted.)
