Sunday Press Report

TARBERT SCOTTISH SERIES

With one day's racing to go, the results of the Scottish Series are likely to give the organisers as big a headache as ever when deciding who will win the Scottish Series Trophy for the best performance.

Contenders for the trophy from the CHS classes include Anthony de Mulder's Dubois designed 'Victric 4' in Class 0, John & Hilary Connelly's MG335 in Class 3, but perhaps best result of all so far is Trevor Halliwell's MGHS30 'Flash' in Class 4, for he is currently counting three firsts and a second.

Amongst the one designs the dominant result is in the Sonata Class, where Graham Campbell has posted a string of five firsts, only approached in quality by the Cork 1720 class leader Charles Lippett from Newquay, who has not been out of the top three.
