RACING PROGRAMME 2003

26-27 April Bute Race Weekend
Get the shake down early in the season with this round the island Race. Leaving Inverkip marina on the Saturdayand sailing by the scenic route to largs marina , this is a great way to get the boat and crew in fine form for the coming season. Saturday evening sees a social gathering in Largs Sailing Club with the Sunday set aside for two short races in Largs Bay.

3-4 May Opening Muster
A change of destination this year with the Race returning to the birth place of the CCC. A race from Inverkip to Rothesay with a social gathering being arranged within the town.

2004 Bell Lawrie Scottish Series
The legend that is Bell Lawrie Scottish Series is going from strength to strength. Although Bell Lawrie Scottish Series sees the elite of UK racing on the water, new class divisions give those short of crew the chance to join the fleet with a white sails class and feel a real part of a fantastic sailing event. Try it, you will not forget nor regret entering Bell Lawrie Scottish Series.

7-8 June Ladies and Cadets
A chance to get your own back on the skipper with the ladies and juniors taking charge of the day. in the evening the gents are put to task providing a feast of a BBQ at Wreck Bay. Kids (and big kids) games on the Sunday makes a great weekend.

21-22 June Arran Trophy Weekend
Last year this new two leg Saturday and Sunday double header made for a fantastic racing weekend. Saturday's race is from Inverkip round Little Cumbrae and back to Rothesay. Sunday's race is a sprint from Rothesay to Inverkip, all with a casual social evening in Rothesay on the Saturday. It's an all round winner. Come and try it.

26-29 June North Channel Bangor Race
A great chance to test yourself on a mini Blue Water style race to Bangor. A great way to go get a Guinness and race in the company of the CCC fleet.
Go on, go on, go on stretch those offshore legs a bit.

19-21 July Tobermory Weekend
Always a classic race with a chance to get into the Western isles with a purpose. This year sees the 2nd leg start moving to Craobh Haven with a swinging social event in the planning. Just think easy to change the crews and reach the bar..

16-17 August Tarbert/Kames Race Weekend
The first chance of the season to race to Tarbert and then back to Kames on the Sunday. A great way to clock those all important points up in just one weekend.

30-31 August Swine's Hole Muster
Family and social weekend with no racing but loads of fun. BBQ's and games. Not to be missed.

6-7 September Tighnabruaich Pursuit Race
Last year saw great weather and a great turnout for this new event. It's a great fun race with no spinnakers for any class and no crowded start lines. Come and give it a try. This is racing with a difference.

13-14 September Bute Regatta Weekend
6 quick fire races over a weekend in Rothesay Bay. Come and join us at ht home of the CCC for fast thrilling racing.

27-28 September Rothesay - Tarbert Race
A big turnout sees this race as a favourite way to end the season with a gathering in Tarbert. The last 2 years have tested your light airs metal, but let's hope we get a wee hoolie this year. There will be new interim marks for light weather, so check those racing instructions.
