Sailing Directions
Over the years the Sailing Directions published by the Clyde Cruising Club Publications Ltd. for the Scottish West Coast and offshore Islands has become widely recognised as an invaluable pilotage guide compiled by those who have cruised these waters. In the 1970s the areas covered by the Club’s Sailing Directions were extended to include the Northern Coasts of Scotland and the Orkney and Shetland Islands. New editions for all areas have been published since 2003, the most recent being a new edition of Kintyre to Ardnamurchan which was published in Spring 2007. To see a key plan of the areas covered by the books click  here.

The Directions are aimed at meeting the needs of yachtsmen not only in planning a cruise but also whilst on passage, or when entering harbour or seeking a safe anchorage, often in difficult weather conditions. As far as practical the information for a particular harbour or anchorage is contained on a single page or spread and as such is most convenient for cockpit use. To see a sample of the information provided click here.

These Sailing Directions may be purchased from chandlers but if not available can be obtained direct from the Clyde Cruising Club either by phone or fax with payment by Debit Card, Visa, MasterCard or by cheque. All books are £25.00 each including p+p. (UK Only). Contact the Clyde Cruising Club, telephone 0141 2212774, fax 0141 2775 or e-mail hazel@clyde.org

All books are printed digitally with short print runs. This enables the reprinting of books regularly with up to date amendments. For those books purchased prior to the current print runs, amendments in PDF format are available on this website using the links below, or from the Club office at photocopying cost plus p+p. Each PDF file is in two bookmarked sections; the first section lists all amendments by date of issue and page number and those amendments with associated plans carry a reference number which relates to the second section of the file. Amendments are withdrawn from this website when a new edition of a book is issued.
