Centenary Dinner - Thursday 19 November 2009
This special dinner was held in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Glasgow, with special guests and speakers. The event took the place of the Club's annual ball for one year only so the prizegiving and dancing, which will be held on Saturday 28 November, was replaced by the chance to meet old friends and chat.
Initial reports back from those that attended the Centenary Dinner in the Crowne Plaza Hotel indicate that a fabulous night was had by all.

The 2010 series is already being planned at Tarbert, Loch Fyne, with the continuing and generous sponsorship of Brewin Dolphin. As in 2009, we will aim to attract championship events to Tarbert as part of the series.

Cruise in company to Rothesay and Centenary Sail Past. 11-12 September 2010
You are invited to join the cruise in company and the Centenary sail past - 11/ 12 September. This is the final event to celebrate the Club’s Centenary. You will find more details about the Cruise in company - leaving Rhu, Inverkip and Largs in the Club Yearbook 2010 (page four).
It would be appreciated if yachts would fly the Club burgee to assist in identifying participants and take the opportunity to dress overall having arrived at Rothesay. Colours being stuck at 18:30 hrs.
The Club has arranged berthing at Rothesay Harbour for the Saturday night. The buffet-supper and dance will be held at the Rothesay Pavilion. We are keen to accommodate as many member’s yachts as we can in the harbour so please register with the Club office - telephone 0141 221 2774. Berth spaces are limited and not everyone will be assigned a berth and some rafting may be necessary. Club volunteers will be helping the Harbour staff with the berthing.
Please order and pay for your tickets for the supper and dance at the same time to avoid disappointment. The evening will commence at 19:00 with a drinks reception followed by the buffet at 19:30 and then dancing - there will be a licensed bar available. The band is the George Ogilvie 6 and they will be playing something to suit everyone.
The buffet tickets are £20, under 12s are £10. Discount is available on berthing when registering, payable on arrival at Rothesay.
On Sunday following the ‘Sail past’ the flag officers would like to invite you to join them in Wreck Bay. They will be rafted up, weather permitting, and you are invited to come aboard for a suitable celebration.
We hope members who were unable to take part in the Centenary Cruise on the west coast in July will be able to join us for the cruise incompany and sail past - the final event in our Centenary celebrations - full details of the Sail Past weekend can be downloaded here.
