The Clyde Cruising Club was founded on 10th November 1909 so we are now well into our centenary year. An occasion like this cannot pass unmarked so we have planned a year of special events to follow on from the anniversary itself. Brief details of these events follow. Watch Tidelines and the website for updates as the plans take shape.
CENTENARY CRUISE
Registration for Cruise
As well as being open to all CCC members, we have invited members of the Royal Cruising Club, Irish Cruising Club, Cruising Club of America, Royal Highland Yacht Club, Royal Yacht Squadron and Ocean Cruising Club to join this major event and many members of these clubs are already making plans to attend.
About 200 boats are expected so members are encouraged to register their interest as soon as possible and this can done on-line using the Registration Form below. Do not worry about the signature if returning the form electronically. You will find that each "box" has an X in it. Please delete the X and fill in the data. If you want to leave an item blank please leave in the X. If you wish to give a credit card number by telephone rather than on the form this can be done by phoning Hazel on 0141 221 2774. You also have the option of sending a cheque - but in that case the application form can be printed off and completed manually and posted with a cheque to the office at the address at the bottom of this page.

CENTENARY CLOTHING
A selection of embroidered merchandise is now available to buy from our partners, Kylemark. Please visit their site by clicking on their logo below. This will take you to the Club's clothing range.
CENTENARY BOOK
Former Club Secretary Sandy Taggart has agreed to update the history of the Club prepared for the 75th anniversary in 1985 and anyone who can contribute stories or photographs should contact Sandy direct or through the Club office. This unique record will conclude with an account of the Centenary Cruise and the other events of the centenary season and will be published at the end of 2010 (in time for Christmas!).
COMPANION TO THE SAILING DIRECTIONS
Work has already started on a Cruising Guide designed as a companion to the Club's Sailing Directions. This is being written by former Journal Editor Mike Balmforth in conjunction with the editorial team of the CCC Sailing Directions and will cover the Scottish coast from the Clyde to Cape Wrath and all the outlying islands. The Cruising Guide will provide additional information, points of interest and photographs and will be a fascinating and invaluable addition to the Club's publications. The Guide will be available in time for the 2010 season.
